Getting Started
We design, install, commission and maintain fire protection systems — sprinklers, hydrants, detection and suppression — for commercial, industrial and residential buildings, and for data centres. The business covers the full life of a system, from the first drawing through to the annual service that keeps it certified.
We have boots on the ground in four South African provinces. Our head office is in Gauteng, in Midrand, and we have workshops in the Eastern Cape, the Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal — so those regions are served by local teams and local stock, not managed at arm’s length from Johannesburg.
Beyond South Africa we work across the continent, with delivered projects in Côte d’Ivoire, Mozambique and Lesotho, and special-risk fire protection as far afield as the Democratic Republic of the Congo. You can see the full footprint on our Active Projects map.
Our offices are at 245 Mastiff Road, Midrand Industrial Park, Commercia and Mount Royal B1 – 657 James Crescent, Halfway House, Midrand.
Use the enquiry form on our Contact Us page, email info@logikgroup.co.za or call 087 11 00 225. Tell us the building type, its size and what you already have installed — that is usually enough for us to come back with a scope and a figure.
Both. On a new build we come in at design stage and work alongside the professional team. On an existing building we survey what is there, tell you where it falls short of the standard, and price the remedial work.
Services & Scope
Automatic sprinkler systems, fire hydrants and hose reels, fire detection and alarm systems, gas suppression, deluge and foam systems, fire pumps and pump houses, smoke ventilation and passive fire protection. Our Services page lists the full range and what each one covers.
Yes. A large part of our maintenance work is on systems installed by others. We start with a condition survey so you know exactly what you have inherited before we commit to a service schedule.
Yes. Send us the inspection report and we will work through the findings item by item, price the remedial work and carry it out. Where the report is disputed we can also give you a second technical opinion before you spend anything.
Yes — practical training for staff and facilities teams, covering extinguisher use, evacuation procedure and how to operate and check the systems in your own building.
Yes. Clients on a maintenance contract have priority access to our callout line.
Compliance & Standards
Our installations are designed and certified to the relevant SANS standards, and to ASIB rules where a sprinkler installation falls under them. Insurers and local authorities both work from these, so building to them is what makes a system sign-off-able.
We hold a SANS 1475 Permit to Apply the Certification Mark (SACAS), an ASIB Certificate of Competency, ECSA registration as a Fire Protection System Practitioner, a Letter of Good Standing from the BIBC, a B-BBEE Level 3 verification certificate and a Sendmarc Certificate of DMARC Compliance. Every one of them can be viewed on our Compliance page.
It confirms a contractor is up to date with its statutory obligations to the bargaining council, which most principal contractors and site managers require before you are allowed on site. Ours is issued by the Building Industry Bargaining Council — Cape of Good Hope and is on the Compliance page.
We are a Level 3 Contributor, verified by MSCT BEE Services. The current certificate and its expiry date are on the Compliance page.
Yes. On completion we issue the certificate of compliance for the installation, together with the commissioning records behind it — which is what your insurer and the local authority will ask to see.
Projects & Delivery
It depends entirely on the size of the building and the system. We give you a programme with the quote, and we would rather set a date we can hold than one that sounds good in a meeting.
Yes, and most of our retrofit work is exactly that. We phase the work around the building’s operating hours and keep existing fire cover in place while we are working, so the building is never left unprotected.
Our technician tests and inspects each item against the standard, carries out any minor repairs on the spot, and leaves you a report listing what passed, what was fixed and anything that needs to be quoted separately. Certification follows once everything passes.
Yes — as-built drawings, operating and maintenance manuals and the commissioning data are handed over as part of project closeout. You should not have to come back to us to find out how your own system works.
Working With Us
Service intervals are set by the applicable SANS standard and by the system type, and some equipment needs attention more than once a year. We will map your building’s equipment to its required intervals and give you the schedule in writing.
Yes. An annual contract covers the scheduled servicing and certification for every system in the building, with priority callout access. It is usually cheaper than servicing each system ad hoc, and it means nothing quietly lapses.
Call 087 11 00 225 or email info@logikgroup.co.za with the building name and what the panel is showing. If your system is under contract with us, we already hold its history.
Often — we take on qualified fire technicians, designers and project staff. Current openings and the application form are on our Careers page.
